Christmas Countdown Calendar 2026
Free for personal, family and classroom use. No sign-up. PDFs print at actual size; set your printer to 100% or "Actual size".
How it works
Twenty-five boxes, one for each day from December 1 to Christmas Day, 2026. Each box shows the weekday and how many days are left, so you can color it in, cross it off or put a sticker on it each morning. December 1, 2026 is a Tuesday and Christmas Day is a Friday.
Ideas for using it
- Pin it on the fridge and cross off a box after dinner.
- Write one small activity, kindness or recipe in each box before you start.
- Use it in an office as a countdown to the holiday break.
- Pair it with the December calendar to plan parties and travel.
Advent and the countdown
The liturgical season of Advent begins on Sunday, November 29, 2026, four Sundays before Christmas, so it starts a few days before this December 1 countdown. The liturgical calendar page has the full season.
Printing it
Print at actual size on Letter or A4 paper; card stock makes it sturdy enough to hang. The boxes are large enough for a sticker, a drawing or a short note, and the light gray and red shading keeps ink use low.
December 2026 at a glance
Christmas Day, Friday December 25, is the only federal holiday in December 2026, and it gives a three-day weekend. Christmas Eve falls on a Thursday and is a normal workday for federal offices and banks, although many businesses close early. Hanukkah begins at sundown on Friday, December 4, 2026, and New Year’s Eve is a Thursday.
