Pitman with rotating shifts
This calendar uses the 2-2-3 work sequence with crews rotating between day and night shifts: each crew works two weeks of day shifts, then two weeks of night shifts, on a 28-day cycle. Crews start a week apart, so on every date one crew covers the day and another the night.
Many employers call this the Pitman schedule; others use the name for the fixed version, where crews never switch. If yours is fixed, use the Panama calendar or switch the generator to "fixed".
Hours and days off
Each crew works 14 twelve-hour shifts in 28 days: 168 hours, 42 hours a week on average, with every other weekend off as a three-day weekend. Rotating between days and nights spreads the night work evenly across crews.
Shift calendar generator
Set the first day of the cycle (a day your crew A or platoon A started a block), then pick a crew to highlight. Everything runs in your browser.
